I was wondering if anybody has ever installed aftermarket cruise control on their bike. I took about a 2 hour ride on saturday, almost got killed, a Harley rider thought it necessary to pass a slow car right as i was meeting it, could of grabbed his scull and grease encrusted do-rag right off his head if i wanted to, IDIOT!
Anyway, my hand was so tired by the time i got home, my job doesn't help the matter, i realized cruise control would be nice. Anybody have any suggestions on the best options?

O yeah, and what type of seatback do you guys use, driverwise? I don't ever carry a passenger so i dont need one of those backrests.

Getting a crampbuster/throttlerocker type device might help without the need for a full "cruise control"

Now "cruise control"s actually fall into two categories for our bikes - throttle locks, and real electronic cruise systems. The latter of which are surprisingly expensive, so most don't even bother with them (we're talking >$200 here)

Throttlemeister or VistaCruise are the two most popular of the throttle locking versions.
The Throttlemeister is around $140, so is a premium one.

So - the Vista Cruise tends to be the most popular at around $20 to $25.

I used to have the Vista cruise, it worked pretty good.

Yeah - I forgot to add I've got the Vista as well - had it nearly as long as I've had the bike (~17 years now) -- still works perfectly.
