    hey xj'ers
so i got around to taking the tank of today. easier than i thought. but i was planning on welding my own tank together, im going for a rat bike tank in the format of 2 big stainless steel pipes. does anyone in here have any experience with this or a tip for the mounting in the front? (talking about the rubber pieces the old tank was squezed on to)

and since this bike has hit 55k ive realised that it needs some sweet love. ive been reading up on carb service but are there any other things that i should be aware of? this would be my first opening of an engine so im kind of in a mix of servicing it but since it started and drove all the way home from the salesman to my house i also dont want to touch to many things in fear of breaking something that works.

    much love

if your doing a case split replace chain guide and rebuild the starter clutch it can only be done when you split the case

make a u shaped bracket the simulates the under side of tank where the mounts are about 100mm wide to mount tank to frame
