    Sorry another question:
While the bike is running it seems to run hard and clanky when cold. When warm it sounds better and that all cyclinders are fireing. When i take the spark plug cable off of the 1st plug the engine idles down a bit but no huge diference. When i take it off number 3 there is a real big difference in the bike running.

I've checked the plugs and all have good spark.

    Any thoughts?

you can also feel the header pipes and tell which ones are running. sometimes the plug will be firing but the cylinder isn't making any power because fuel is not reaching the cylinder. could be a clogged enrichment circuit in your carbs. Have they been cleaned lately?

yup... just cleaned them to rickomatic specs a month ago. been running the bike on and off for the last month trying to get the kinks out.

it hasn't been balanced yet though. I have the monometer just waiting on building my yics tool.

    Could that be the problem?
