Is a 220 grit hone fine enough for honing cylinders or will the rings not bed in and will oil get into the combustion chambers? Is 320 grit better? Does the XJ's have Naksil (nickel silicon-carbide electroplating?)

Franz you know I'm looking at 0 response threads :)

    My answer is awful.
I didn't realise there was different grades.
My honing tool is a bunch of rocks that are spring loaded to scour as far as I can see.
I'll ask a chap I know who has done rebores for me and let you know what he says.

I used 220 grit in the X jugs. Probably could have gone finer. Don't overdo it.
