    Washed the bike yesterday.
While using a VERY soft brush on the differential the cap that is located on top came off. Underneath is some crusty looking dried-up adhesive.

Can I just clean this thing up and re-glue it?
If so, what sort of glue do I use?

well sounds like the PO twisted it off those i think were spot welded. i say that because i tried gently to pry mine up and it dimpled in the middle where it was attached. there should be a vent hole under there somewhere make sure it isn't full of "crusty looking dried-up adhesive"
although someone said his was pushed down too far so there may be some adjustment but i don't see how. let us know how you get it back on
