Does anybody know the differences between the 82 XJ650 and 82 XJ1100? Seat height, wheelbase, that sort of thing.

It looks like they all use the same frame but it's hard to tell if there is any real size difference.

    I've got an 82 XJ650 Maxim right now, but I wouldn't mind something a little bigger (I'm almost 6'2").

only way to see if you fit an 1100 better is to sit on one. consider putting forward controls on your bike.
    adding more foam to seat
you could put a 750 seca rear wheel on the bike
last would be add an inch in shock length.

Entirely different machine. Entirely different engine. Entirely different frame.
The XJ1100 is essentially an XS1100 with a crusier style frame and a few cosmetic differences. It has little in common with the rest of the XJ series.

The 1100 would likely suit your body better, but adding highway bars or forward controls to your 650 would be another option that would work.

Check out Cycle Ergo for a better view of what would fit you stock.
