    Hey folks,

    I had the side stand plug swapped with the generator plug (the 3 white wires). I'm more than certain I fried my diode block. (It was running in this condition, believe it or not). Now, my haynes manual has an excellent diagram on page 246 for troubleshooting. The problem is, it's only for the 650. Another problem is; the wiring diagram and reality disagree. My diode block has 5 wires, but the diagram's showing 4, and only one of the colors match. I need somebody's help to verify my readings. I ultimately checked every wire on that block, twice (to change polarity). Here's all I found:
    B/R to G ........... 8.6 OHMS
    + W/G to -W ........... 618 ->+ (diode check)
    everything else was open

    B/R= Black w/ red stripe
    W/G= White w/ green stripe
    W= White
    G= Green
