    Hey guys,

been lurking for some time and finally have decided to show my little on-going project, a Yamaha XJ650 Seca RJ from 1982 in dirt trim.

As i don't have many pics during the transformation i will only post the before and after pics:

    As i got her

    As it sits now:

    And one for comparison:

    Mods include:
    - new 5" headlight, the old one was too big
    - new universal switches, the old ones were crumbleing
    - new brake pads, brake shoes and stainless brake lines
    - enduro handlebar
    - dirt tires, Pirelli MT60 from and Scorpion back
    - relocated ingnition switch under the rectifier
    - K&N hi flow filter

I still have to put some paint on her, new card to manifold boots and carb clean, sync and paint (carb covers are starting to rust :( )

    Hope you like it
    Cheers,
    Bogdan

    Thank you Venlis!
@ BillB There are several old XJ's here mostly 900 and 550 most of the XJ'ers from here having XJ600 Seca 2 bikes.

Those were the Marzocchi units that came with the bike. They were later replaced with Hagon units but as soon as I have the money i plan on rebuilding them with heavy duty springs :)

Welcome to the fun, nice to see interest from near and far. Best of luck with your shock rebuild, perhaps you can document the effort for our collective benefit?
