You know anyone that makes forward controls other than TC Bros Choppers ?

How hard can it be to make a set of them for the XJ because it seems everything out there is for the XS...

I am willing to bet that there are plenty of fellas here on this forum that can make these... I am a bit of a fabricator myself if you just click on the links below my signature you can see the builds that I have done and the things that I have made.

Doing a search on "forward controls" yields 414 results, and I'm guessing a lot of those don't actually apply. I get the impression it's been done, but I couldn't say off the top of my head who it was.

Those are indeed mine. They work well. But truth be told by the time I bought the steel and rod ends plus my time it would have been qucker and about the same price had I just bought the TC Bros ones.

There are several others I've seen on this site.

I have a 3D autocad file i'll gladly email if you, or anyone, pm me an email address. It never got updated to exact dimensions but it's pretty close. Measure twice!

I got what i thought was a forward control complete kit and that is what the guy made me believe that it was... very dissapointed because its only an extension bracket kit and no controls... To add insult to injury

They will charge me a 10% Restocking fee to boot plus i had to pay for the shipping back to them.

They will be getting a negative feedback after i get my money refunded

I have some good news .. A guy i havent done business in a while came by my store looking for passover items and he saw a pic of my project bike and told me that he had built a couple in his time. He said that he can make the forward controls so pretty soon i will be able to see what he will come up with.

He is retired and said that he has nothing else to do but would love the challenge of making these on a cnc cutting machine after he has his son draw it up on cad program.

Im excited... I will keep you posted.. Maybe it will cost less than a C note

Can't upload stuff here, and it's to avoid bug problems as well as be a little kinder to people who are on dial-up.

    There's no problem.....
