    ME TOO!!!
Whether or not its true, you sometimes hear about a guy who made his personal car run 100 miles on one gallon of gas. He sold his invention to big oil and is living on an island somewhere with his millions.
If it was true, how do you think he would reconfigure the carb to do this?

Probably by living on top of a very big mountain and measuring his mileage on the ride down, or you're confusing the story with the guy that made his car run on water, sold the patent to the oil companies and is now living on an island somewhere

i have been thinking about a multiple jet carb, that injected the fuel from several main jets rather than one. the aim would be for much better atomization.

Motorcycle buddy with a sick sense of humour keeps sneaking over at night and tops off his tank. Then sits back and laughs when his buddy says he goes and gets 350 miles out of a tank of gas.
Next month he'll go back and start syphoning gas out so that his buddy ends up going insane because now he only get 35 miles out of a tank of gas.
His buddy then get committed to the funny farm and he takes up with his buddies old lady, moves into his buddies house, rides both the bike and the old lady all for a couple of months worth of fu**ing around!
Either that or ride a moped!

    Have some patents.
The basic idea is to burn 100% of the fuel in the combustion chamber, and then let the heat do the work, which is hard to do at 6,000 RPM with a 2 inch stroke, and also with the exhaust valve opening 30* before the bottom.

A more efficient motor would crank real slow, have No overlap timing to the valves, have a mirror finished or ceramic coated piston, high compression, long stroke (compared to bore), and may use a stratified charge in a pre-combustion chamber, or other exotic tech.

Don't expect 2 HP per cubic inch or anything "fun" !!

Hydrogen is the fuel of the future gentlemen and you can drink the water right out of your exhaust pipe

I spoke with the inventor/builder in this link /\
He seemed pretty discouraged that nobody wanted to invest in his ideas.
His 3 wheel, 3 seater "car" uses NO GAS, goes 85 MPH for short periods, and cruises INDEFINITELY at 40 MPH.
When not in use, the car pumps power back into "the grid" saving you on your household electric bill.

I would like an Aptera with a small, quiet diesel.

I wanna bike that runs on water. produces whiskey as a byproduct and folds int a guitar when you park it. That way I don't have to figure out how to strap a git-fiddle to a bike and when I finally reach the beach I don't have to go to the store. All I have to do is remove the collection tank and fold up my bike....

And the [part that everyone forgets or doesn't get is that it takes more electricity to produce hydrogen than the power it saves as a vehicle fuel. So far as I know making electricity ain't free.

This hydrogen hype is a bunch of crap...................

There are many forums like This and this that are full of people including motorcyclist looking to gain more from the fuel expended. I agree on board generated hydrogen, from a physics perspective, is not going to work and has been proven from universities as MIT as to not and many volumes written as to why in great detail. Hydrogen as a fuel from areas and countries (like Sweden where the advantage of geothermal gasses are abundant) and thus make more economic sense. Although no where near the btu of gasoline and diesel. Fuel efficiency is something I've studied in great length, as well as other ideas toward more efficient devices and systems. You can read more here.

Motorcycles in general have the potential to derive more in distance and performance from the internal chemical energy of our modern (however somewhat adulterated) fuels. Do a little searching on the net and you'll find plenty of ideas. However most, particularly on YouTube, are of pseudoscience founded "breakthroughs". But there are some sound scientific ideas particularly in ultra-lean burn, hybrids, atomization devices and a host other plug and play electronic injector driver modification devices as well as different internal and external combustion engines being created. Yes, it is very possible to get 100mpg as the latest Xprize competition proved. There are many other real examples out there.
    Cheers.
