    Hmm interesting.

Can't say I've heard of anyone doing it on a bike.

What benefit would one get from such a modification?

You're not venting valve covers. You're venting the engine.

The check valve in that vent line is called a PCV valve for Positive Crankcase Ventilation.

Instead of being vented at the valve covers our XJs are vented from the top of the transmission, on the left, just ahead of the air box. The stock set up has a hose going from the vent up to the front of the air box.

That piddly four probably puts out more horses then any piddly stock eight... I used to be in the tuner crowd. We may have only had 4 cylinders but we still got down the track in 12 seconds. Most of the guy s you see with riced out Hondas are not even close to having a really fast car. Just a really loud one.

back on track here. usually people vent valve covers to help keep oil from blowing past the valves, especially on a boosted engine. i was just wondering because of the age of most of our bikes (and hopefully there are some turbos on this forum), if anybody ever tried this....guess not. also another question: what size (I.D.) is the stock fuel line on a 550 seca. all my lines need replaced and i was gonna go braided stainless (maybe somebody can give me an AN line size) thanks

P.s. I LUV turbo hondas muhahahahah

Venting the Cam Cover would be difficult. There's a lot of oil being slung around in that top cover.

Venting the Can Cover would likely mean Oil would be escaping through the topside vent.

There's a sizable baffle in the side cover to deal with any possible sucking -out of oil at the lower end.

Nice looking engine you have there.
