That gasket set from Partsnmore is the exact same thing I paid $150 for. Athena brand. No fitament problems at all.

When buying my rings, I priced various places. They were all pretty much in the same price range as the local Yamaha dealer when shipping was factored in. I figured I might as well order local in case there were any problems I wouldn't have to worry about shipping back to the seller. Seems like I paid $45 a set for them.

I got 4 sets of rings for $40 (yes for all of them) off ebay, but when I broke one installing them the guy had run out and I had to pay 40 from the dealer for one set. Check ebay first.

I always check ebay first. Never know what your gonna find. Some days your lucky some days your not. But i found this site http://www.motorcyclepartscounter.com/p ... amaha.aspx and it has every yamaha motorcycle part. It even has the diagrams for figuring out how things go back together which really helps in a bind. The prices have been about 10-20% less than what the dealers have quoted me on similar parts.

It's just showing you how many sets you'll need.

    Price is per set.

Ah, ok... I paid a little less than that at the dealership including tax and didn't have to pay shipping.

Still a great price on the gasket set though.

I've only actually purchased from them twice. Shipping took awhile, or at least it seemed. But I do not have the haynes book for my XJ so i'm constantly on the site looking through the diagrams for troubleshooting and putting parts back together.

I'll also suggest you check in with Chacal, he sells our parts at a very reasonable price and his shipping is swift. Try info @ xj 4 ever . com (remove the spaces). He'll look after you with a personal touch and ensure you get exactly what you are looking for.

ditto on Roberts suggestion. Chacal has supplied me with everything I've asked for in a fair manner. Including answering stupid questions.
