I was just wondering if they are available or if any company's can do the work. I am in the U.K. so British firms are preferable.

Progressive Suspension, Works performance and others offer replacement fork springs. The Progressive Suspension springs represent a noticeable upgrade from stock.

That's the only readily available front fork upgrade I'm aware of.

What are you experiencing with the ride? Have you changed the fluid at all? The fork oil gets darn nasty and breaks down faster than you think. If you haven't serviced the shocks at all I would recommend you take them apart clean and out in new oil. You can change the weight of the oil and it does change the ride somewhat. It would be worth a try before spending money. I have had experience with progressive and there springs were a huge improvement on the bikes I installed them on.

They did installed springs and valves in my XS11, it was a huge improvement over stock. They set them up to my riding style and weight. Most of the serious XS11 twisty riders I know swear by them. My first trip to the Dragon I was lagging behind, the next year I could keep up after the fork improvements.

Maxton have a very good reputation over there and do anything from spring kits to full cartridge conversions
