I am currently going down the list to get the bike to start. I made sure the furl line was delivering fuel to the carburator and then went on to open the float bowls to make sure there was fuel flow. After that I went on to checking my spark plugs by removing them, putting them next to the engine, and then cranking the ignition to see if there was a spark. There were sparks, however they were tiny (old black spark plugs). When I got to the fourth plug, the starter wasnt even trying, the only thing happening was that the red light on the gauge came on whenever I pressed the start button.
First questions: When I get the new spark plugs and do the same test, how big should the sparks be? What should I do next if the same size of spark persists?
Second question: Does the red light blinking (when I press the start button) mean that I'm out of juice? If so, I don't have a battery charger, but I do have an "Instant Power portable jump starter", could I use this as a charger?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :)

Be careful with your "insta -power" thing, you might damage something. I would NOT use it for this.

You need to get a VERY SMALL OUTPUT battery charger; this one: http://batterytender.com/battery-tender ... 0-75a.html is ideal for the purpose. Your maximum charge rate shouldn't be above 1.2A/hr.

It's normal for the oil level light to come on (and nothing else) if the battery is so low it won't even activate the solenoid.

You need a fully charged battery, and a brand new set of NGK D8EA plugs, properly gapped.

Make sure none of the plug caps are loose on the wires and none of the cores are loose in the caps. Make sure the air filter is clean; and with fresh plugs and a fully charged battery it may actually start IF it was running before.
