Just wondering if you have picked a name for your bike and what it is?

My friends/family have been referring to my bike as "beast".
I hope it doesn't stick. But I'm still in the thought process.... :?:

So, I was just curious to see what other people had chosen....

BTW... my husband's bike is named "Bona Fide Hustler". 8)

Better not say them.... the moderators will bleep you out

    Here's another question to ponder...

Since I'm a girl, is the "gender" of my bike male or female? :?:

Hmmmm... now that there is a classic conundrum! I guess it depends on the bikes personality, and/or if you feel a certain "attraction" to it.
I refer to my bike as a "she" but thats just simply because I'm a guy and I couldnt see myself being in love with a bike named "Bob" or "Frank" 8O . That just wouldnt be manly at all, in my humble opinion!

    VAL the LED Lady.

VAL is both inside joke with wife and can stand for Various Aftermarket Lights.

I even have a pair of custom tank decals awaiting a tank swap.

I never could understand a bike having a gender but a coupla friends have he and she bikes, the friends are he and she, their bikes have names. Mine have been th 750 or th 500 or whatever, but i'm coming around to calling it Urge, coz it brings out an urge in me.

Mine's called The little old lady, the parts bike, well that's, scrappy.

My truck is the mistress because I spend more time and money with it than with my wife!

And for my Jeep the J got replaced with an H and it's refered to as the Heep. Also an XJ.

I bought my XJ650 about a year ago. Since then I've have replaced the motor(I found a parts bike), handle bares, and tank. I've installed sportster pipes and a brand new clutch cable. I've adjusted the valves and synced the carbs and given "her" a new valve cover gasket, yep as I worked she became a "she". She's pretty to me but now I'm starting to work towards cleaning her up, "putting on her makeup". Last sunday morning we were riding through New Orleans when blew by a couple of "Rolex riders" on harleys that they, themselves, have never put a wrench on, have never skinned a knuckle on, they DID have cool Biker clothes though. I am getting a bigger bike for my wife and I to ride, but the XJ, she is mine. I've had other bikes before, she is the first one I've named, her name is "Elicia".

1983 Midnight Maxim. "Black Beauty" She is definately female. I would be uncomfortable riding a male. I hope that doesn't make me sound homophobic.

I am female, my bike is male. He is Emmitt. My Hubby refuses that and calls 'her' "Ugly Betty." Ick. He is not a Betty and he is most certainly not ugly. He can call the bike whatever he wants when it's his, but until then, rider wins. :D

My '83 has a name; it's in my sig. "Toxic Asset" (More invested than can ever be recouped.)

I was considering "Willing Accomplice" or "Unindicted Co-Conspirator" though.

For now, it's still Beast. Seems to have stuck. But I may add a prenom to it. Thinking maybe Obsidian Beast. That could be either gender. We'll see which wins out in my head - he or she. Right now it's both, and I can't tell which seems more natural.

Obsidian because of a wonderful, nearly life-changing (if I'm not being too dramatic) vacation to Yellowstone last year. Fell in love. It is now a dream of mine to ride in Yellowstone. Maybe not the maxim, but they have all kinds of motorcycle rentals in that area.

    Loved everybody's posts! It's a fun topic.

BTW, dodge ram is "Randy the Ram", AKA "Ram Jam" and black vibe is "Black Betty - Bam Ba Lam". We seem to name all our vehicles :)

Mine got named "Katrina" at a rally a few years back. Wife started calling it that 'cuz it left a trail of destruction. My Sporty is named "Juliette" and I don't know why. My truck has no name but is definitely male 'cuz it's an ass just like me.
