Drive Chain Oil.

    what would you recommend to use to lube the drive chain on an 81 xj 550 maxim?

    PJ1 BLUE Label.

    I've been a chain-drive guy all my motorcycling life, and after literally years of "comparative analysis" I settled on that as the one that really doesn't "fly off" and works really well.

    Chacal carries it if your local shops don't.

    Highly recommended.

    I've had really good luck with the black and red cans from the Honda dealerships. The label just says "Chain Lube" with a very small company logo that says "Next Dimension". Good lube quality, does NOT fling off and it very easy to clean up overspray/spills.

    PJ1 works great too.
