ANyone have any info on dual carbing a 650, if there's enough time to mmake the appropriate manifold and figure out the jetting, love to add this to the list of stuff done. preferrably any jetting info as well. here's a pic of what i'm talking abotu on a honda 750, this setup is beautiful but at $500 us, a little out of the budget.

i think everyone that's had to deal with the darker side of the yamaha carbs wouldn't mind doing somethign like this, however couldn't find anything on initial search

How about a single carb instead of duals?

Or how about a FI system!

Or combine a single carb and a FI system with a throttle body injection system. You could probably incorporate an electric choke into a TBI unit relatively easily.

Yes, I did toy with the idea of twin sidedraft delhortos via a custom manifold on my XS 1100, but then I found out what they are worth on ebay. 8O

Would you not have to dubbel the jet size because your feeding twice the load, and weld up a Y manifold, add the length of both stock manifold and make that the length of the Y manifold?

welding up a manifold is no problem, but i'm not so good with the carb adjustments yet. I hear 34mm is a good carb size you want to go with. not sure about jet size though.

Here's the site I found about the subject. I've been trying to find the right carbs to use. And have to do some measuring on a 750 Honda and see if I can make these Y-adapters fit my 750 Yammy.

I don't know about your area but here in Ga. you can go to your local plumbing co.(not hardware) and find rubber couplings of all types and sizes like 2" to 1" reducers and even offset that reduse and most can handle the heat and cold and fuel.

And if you figure that only one carb needs fuel at any given time, the stock carb would just have to take turns supplying the mixture for each cylinder. Not like they both need fuel mixture at the same time, right?!!
