i am in great need of a wiring diagram for my 82 maxim 650.. I bought my 2nd maxim. I had one in the early 90's and loved it. Im looking at the wires in the headlight housing and there are some dead ends???? the tach isn't even hooked up (blue and black wire) and the ignition switch wire has to be jiggled for the bike to start. There are even more connectors that are not connected? If you can help thankls, Im new and i will try my hardest to learn how to use this site---it seems real nice...

You might also post your general location, help could be nearby.
The ignition switch sounds like the switch plate might be cracked or the connector contacts are loose/corroded. Pull the switch and check it out (a good cleaning probably couldn't hurt).
