    Howdy,

Having an issue with the aftermarket LED brake light I installed. The brake light dims instead of illuminating brighter when the front brake switch is activated. So the running light is at full brightness and when the brake is activated it dims.

The brake light comes with L & R flashers built in. I have these spliced to the incandescent rear flashers that are still on the bike and it all works as it should with no issues other than the brake light dimming when activated. Any ideas?

***I should note that I have the engine out of the bike. Just reran the wiring harness and lighting is working properly other than the backward tail light illumination issue. Bike is grounded to the frame until I get the engine back in.***

I’m an idiot - ignore everything I said. I didn’t connect the dots and was manually pressing the brake lever switch wondering why the brake light was dimming when I pressed it when in reality this is how it would function if it were connected to the front brake lever. Squeeze brake, switch extends and illuminates, release brake, switch depresses and dims. It’s working as it should.
