Electrical gremlins

    And here’s a good rotor on a different engine.

    Yamaha calls for a special tool to pull it but maybe I can do it with a gear puller?

    Is this my next step, you think?

    It has an internal thread puller so you dont damage it, pull the old one however, but the good one, buy/borrow the proper puller or youll wreck it pulling it any other way :)
    At that point pull the old one proper too

    to note, im in Canada, i believe i can get that puller for u thru my shop, like $30 save shipping frim US from chacal, xjforever...

    Thank you. And a big thanks to everyone. I think we are on the right track.

    I might ring my local guy and see if he has the fly wheel puller and will lend it to me. If not, Colin 85 700 do you happen to be in Calgary?

    Ontario, a local shop there should be able to get you a puller

    sorry to hijack a sale, however,
    the puller is an M16 x 1.5mm pitch bolt.
    I got a hardened too steel one sent to my door from China for under $10.

    NOTE: Alternator brushes should be replaced whenever they are less than 11mm in overall length......

    I’m just waiting on a special tool to be delivered and I’ll update this post when i make the switch.
