Hello fellow gearheads. Any suggestions for a good, safe, engine casing reassembly sealant? Someone mentioned Hondabond ht. Kinda exploring options. Thanks..

I have been using Loctite 518. I have 8 or so engines using this product. It works very well and you dont have to rush as it cures once the case are bolted together. It cures with a lack of oxygen. Any that oozes out mixes with the oil (so I have read) as it does not cure. Still dont go crazy with it. Whatever you do dont use RTV like this guy did on one of my Z1900 bikes I restored.

Yep, agree on using Yamabond or even Suzuki equivalent, Suzuki BOND 1215. Just a thin coat is all that's needed. In fact if faces are clean then you really only need it where there are casing joins.
