Engine Covers

    Guys,

    Does anyone know what models/years have interchangeable engine covers (I'm assuming Chacal might...). I have badly busted ones on my '85 xj700 that I've left alone for too long. I found a nice pair on ebay for $14 each, but didn't snap them up and now one has disappeared. I might just go ahead and grab the available one...

    But I'm wondering if I can also look for the covers from some other model too. It seems like the other '85s might be the same.

    To be clear, I'm talking about the timing and oil pump covers, the ones at the bottom of the engine that say "Yamaha" on them.

    The XJ 550/650/700/750 covers will all interchange.If you don't mind them saying YICS under the YAMAHA lettering,I have a set with no rash or damage.I'll let them go for $20 plus shipping,or twice that with a highly polished finish.Pm me if you're interested.
