engine noise 92 seca 2 600

i just got this bike yesterday.it was pushing oil out the number 2 carb and was slipping in and out of gear and had what sounds to be a valve tap or like my friend says the same noise his truck made when the bottom end rod bearings went out.i solved the first 2 problems with new oil and the right amount ove it (since the former owner had 5,yes 5 quarts of oil in the bike) but the noise is still there.is this normal or should i strip the motor down and refresh the top and bottom end of it with new bearings and the like?it has great power,85 mph in 3rd at 6500 rpm with no hesitation.just wondering it my first ever bike and i want to make it last awhile since im getting used to rideing a bike this big (used to 450 dirtbikes and quads lol)
