Hi Guys and girls, well I got the carbs sorted out and the engine sorted, oil and filter changed, now she's running like a tank....Literally.

It's running great but now I have exhaust problems. I've found that the clamps from the down pipes, on the collector, have rotted away and now snapped off.

Anybody have any ideas what sort of clamps I can use in place of the clamps that were welded on the collector, as they are complete toast and snapped off in several pieces. I only had one that needed some form of replacement, and due to that, I checked the others and they came off - my own fault I know.

Any suggestions folks... and please remember, I'm in the UK lol

    Thanks a lot in advance

Actually, I had bolts snap on two of mine, and I'm about to replace mine with jubilee clips; it's almost impossible to drill the old pieces out because of the hardness of the bolt and the thinness of the clamp on it, so I'm just cutting them off and putting my own clips on.

As to whether this is a good idea, I'd wait for someone else to weigh in, but... Seems straightforward to me.

Thanks for that suggestion, I actually tried the jubilee clip route myself before posting, but it doesn't seem to have worked, for me. Let me know how you get on with it.

Thank you my friend, I think that just might do it, and you are perfectly correct regarding the jubilee clips
