Does anyone know if a virago motor will fit in an xj750 maxim? If not, will any motor other than the maxim motor fit? I am fine with making some minor modifications to fit a motor, but nothing too crazy. Thanks

XJ750 motor is the same block as a seca, and Xj700n. Same idea as small block Chevy same blocks different bore and stroke 283,327,350 etc

Anything will fit.... all you need is $.

The xj engine is cradled in the frame. The xj engine is a stressed member and hangs from the rest of the frame.

Some parts of the Seca2 (Diversion) engine are interchangeable e.g. sump IIRC - however the canted forward cylinders and downdraft carbs make it a no no..
