For Sale Exceptional Condition 1982 Seca 550 (XJ550RJ)

Selling my 1982 Yamaha Seca 550 (XJ550RJ).

Really in exceptional condition considering it's a 41 year old motorcycle!

-Runs great
-Valves checked and carbs tuned by a Yamaha shop
-New fork seals and fork fluid changed
-Steering head and swingarm bearings cleaned and regreased
-Dash lights all replaced
-All gauges work
-Stock grips in great condition
-Switchgear not sun faded and all work properly
-New Avon tires installed a few years ago
-Chain lubed often
-Always kept on battery tender
-Non ethanol, premium gas with K100 fuel treatment always used
-Garage kept and always covered
-Needs nothing.

Pretty hard to find one of these classic early 80's "sport bikes" in this condition anymore. Unfortunately, so many have been neglected over the years. Riding this bike is an absolute blast-from-the-past if you were a motorcycle enthusiast in the 1980's.

Based on input from other 80's bike owners/collectors, and other Seca's I've seen available, I'm asking $5250.00.

 

Very nice! I can’t imagine how much was spent getting the bike back to that state. I zoomed in on your photo and it looked like 12k miles.

I took the Seca out for a short ride the other day (I try to ride it at least once a month). I still can't help but smile every time I pull out of the driveway with that bike!
