Seems like lately my bike needs an excessive warmup period, but I don't think it has anything to do with engine temp, seems more like something is off with the crabs, like one or two aren't getting proper fuel flow. In fact, it sometimes solves the problem is if kick the petcock over to prime for a bit. Sometimes its an issue even if the engine is still warm and the bike just was turned off for an hour or so.

Is this just normal warmup issues, or something with an easy solution / predictable cause?

How long is it taking, and what is the air temp?

Maybe a minute or two, 70-80 F. Seems more to require some solid revs (which I do while riding) than just idling, but its possible idling longer would do. I usually ride off withing 20 seconds of starting. Which come to think, isn't long at all...

When you microwave a burrito, do you find yourself tapping your foot impatiently?

What, you mean just stand around tapping my foot? Hell naw, ain't got time for that, I go start three other jobs, miss the microwave's "ding" and them come back 2 days later to a pile of mold in the microwave.

Your petcock may need rebuilt and check the vacuum hose connection and condition , if it runs better on PRI . Have you a Colortune plug? if your mixture and synch is off this can also cause hard starting and warm up issues .

I'm pretty sure the tune is good; I had it professionally done on a dyno w/ lambda sensor. The petcock thing makes sense, though I've checket it (and the vac hose) a few times.
