Hi, I need a new exhaust for my 82 XJ750 maxim. I can buy a 4 into 1 easy enough. But, I would like a 4 into 2 system. Niche cycle has new 82 750 seca 4 into 2. There is no collector on these pipes. My question is will the headers and the muffler mounting holes line up ? Does a original 82 750 seca exhaust fit an original 82 750 maxim ? Thanks. Also someone on this sight said the 750 maxim and the 650 maxim exahust are the same until you get to the muffler mounting holes is this true ? Is it the same dimensions for the header pipes on a 750 and a 650 ? (1982 that is) thanks If I just need a small bracket for the 650 exhaust system I could live with that I'm just not sure about the header pipes lineing up right. Thanks for any input. ARE THE HEADER PIPES EXACTLY THE SAME for a 650 and 750 is what I'm asking Thanks again and again and again ect.......

No. I tried this once and they are slightly different sizes. Also, the collector for a 750 is one unit collection area under oil pan (like a 550) whereas on the 650 the collector is a single pipe connecting the two side-exhaust systems. Look at a few pictures on fleabay for any clarifications.

There is no collector on the new ones. It's just two pipes into one and then the muffler. I was just wondering if the 650 and 750 are the same size engines (the bore and stroke might be different) as far as the manifold pipes go. same dimensions from cylinder to cylinder and same size pipes. Thanks

If you are looking at the MAC 4-2 exhaust from Niche cycle on ebay. Then yes the headpipes will bolt up to the engine. You will have to make/use brackets to mount the mufflers.

Are you talking about the niche 4 into 2 650 maxim or the 750 seca exhaust system ? I wanna be sure before I make a purchase. Seems to me it would be the 650 maxim exhaust system , that is if they are the same size pipes and dimensions from cylinder to cylinder. Thanks
