Just thought I would rant a little.

Just put my windshield back on after having it off for a few days. It's a big Memphis Shades Roadmaster windshield. Was driving down a neighborhood road and came to a "road closed" sign. Slowed down to make a 3-point turn and just as I turned my steering wheel there was a patch of sand, the only patch of sand on the whole damn road, right under my rear tire. Low sided the bike right onto my windshield. :x Took a big shard out of it. I went flailing off and rolled into someone's yard. Thank you armored jacket and helmet.

So since the bike tipped over gasoline got into the air filter and the case. Had to cut my whole riding day short so I could super glue the shards back together, clean my air filter, change my oil, and stare in disgust at my nice "patch" shield.....

    *expletive*

Only good thing is my windshield and my crash bars took all the damage. Not a scratch on the bike. :D

I once ran over my own windshield with a car. I'm tempted to stop there and let people try to make sense of it.

Okay, I had a CB750 years ago, my first street bike, it had Windjammer fairing. So, my parents had this mudhole of a turnaround on their driveway, and my kickstand was slightly bent, so the bike leaned at a drunken angle. Anyway, it fell over, right next to my car, and I couldn't fit between the car and the bike to pick it up on the low side. Cleverly,(I'm very clever) I decided I could just move the car out of the way, SNAP, tire over windshield, broke the windshield right off the fairing. Luckily, a plastic shop custom made me a new one for cheap, later, but at the time I was pretty mad, and embarrassed.
