Hello I have been tryin to find somewhere to buy some fork extensions or longer forks, but can't come up with anything. Does anyone know where I could purchase fork extensions or does anybody know other models with longer forks that would swap out?? Thanks for any info

I'm not up on swaps but you can go to Forking By Frank and he'll build a custom length for you for a very reasonable price.

Check the diameter of the forks and find a pair off of a dirt bike. I've noticed some on other forums are using them to extend to extend the front end a bit. Dirt bikes always have more suspension travel, so they need longer forks. You'll have to change the spring rate however to work on your bike.

Take care in where /what you buy.. "remanufactured" Forks are often similar and even more $$ than Brand New Oem units.
I know which ones I would rather own .

Last time I called Frank's, they quoted me $225 delivered to my door for stock tubes (2005). I expect it has gone up some since but given that the stealership is charging more than that apiece, Frank's sounds pretty good.

Naw, he's just an honest joe who doesn't charge an arm and a leg for NEW custom built tubes. I parted with $500 for new tubes (stealership) for my brother's Venture and my buddy, who bought my Venture, got his from Frank for $225 for the set. Who do you suppose was wiser? Spoke at length with his receptionist (his wife actually, Mom-n-Pop's business) and she described how Frank would cut fresh stock and turn the required dimentions and such, really nice to talk to somebody who knew what was going on in the shop. $147 a pop eh? Not to shabby, $254 a set isn't too bad at all I'll agree. Gotta wait for them to show up and they have a guarantee (limited but at least it's something). I don't know what Frank's policy is, but I'd rather support the fellow's efforts, he is the only fellow I know of who does this type of work. Sentimental fool I guess.
