Today I changed the oil in my final drive on the old xj 1100 by using a syphon one of those ones with the squeeze bulb on it. It worked quite well ! Seeing I couldn't get the drain plug out after stripping it !!! Im amazed it doesnt leak . Should I try to fight with it and get it out or can I just secure the plug some how and ride with it and hope its not a death trap .... Or replace the whole final drive ?

If it isn't leaking just leave it. The final drive oil dosen't need to be changed very often (The service manual says every 5,000 miles, but gear oil is rarely worn out that soon).
On to the drain plug: By stripped, do you mean that the head is rounded off, or is it the threads that are damaged? There is a solution, and a photo of the problem would help us steer you to the best repair method.

By stripped I mean the threads are stripped and the bolt(plug) wont come out of the bottom of the final drive . I sucked the old oil out of it using a syphon today and put new gear oil in it , even took it or a short ride it doesn't leak ....

Final draives are cheap. Go on Ebay and find you one. I don't see how the threads can be stripped, and the plug won't come out. Usually if a threaded fastener won't come out it is due to corrosion. I'm sure the plug can be removed and any damage repaired, but it may not be worth your time considering how inexpensive a used replacement is. Replace it and keep that one for a rainy day

I put one of those rubber plug things with the wing nut on the bottom of it in my final drive after getting the old plug out . I put new oil in it and it didn't leak ! It smooth as silk now but I still don't trust this fix . Today I bought another final drive from a local cycle salvage place and tomorrow I will get to installing it do you have any tips or advice that would be helpful on this install ?

Only one. Have the service manual on hand and follow it. Pay close attention to the torque values. If you don't have a service manual start a converston with me and I can help you out when I return from vacation on Tusday.
