Well I finished up my msf class today with a co-worker. Glad to report that we both passed with flying colors. I personally recieved 100% on my written and no points for the road test. My instructor said that in his 10 years of teaching the course he has only had 5 people finish ''perfect''.

    Time to get riding!

    Nice job
I wish every driver, car or bike would do the MSF class
    just to be aware
when I did my MSF we did not have to do a road test
    they were testing all along
    was a nice surprise

Shooting good at a range is entirely different than being in a hot LZ with the enemy shooting back. The MSF is great, teaches important basics, but out on the streets it is entirely a different animal. Stay super aware of your surroundings, your experience, your instincts, and your abilities. The motorcycle offers very little protection form hard contact with another object. Stay safe and have fun...for a long time!!

Congratulations. Now don't get overconfident; nobody else is playing by the same rules.

just pointed up the single most important aspect of street riding: continuous, comprehensive situational awareness.

Here's some interesting reading; read the whole thread when you have time: http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=1 ... bunny.html

    Yea, what they said.

After my MSF, the instructor gave me the certificate and said:
"Congratulations, you are now certified to drive 20mph in a parking lot."
