Hey guys, I'm picking this bike up next week. Heres a quick picture

Not the greatest. Anyway, I'm picking her up next week. The owner says it needs a battery and carb clean, but I'm getting it for $250.

I'm pretty handy, and have pretty much built my 02 Audi A4 from the ground up, so I'm looking forward to a good challenge here.

I just had a few questions.

    A. Is there some kind of vertical seat I can get in the back? I have a feeling I'll be riding with people all of the time, and I want to make sure people have something to fall back on just in case they lose their grip on me or something.

    B. Where are people getting saddle bags for these bikes? I'm sure there are some universal kits

    C. I've seen bikes like this

    or this

Is anything special about these bikes? or someone just took the time to clean them up? Because they look real sharp and I'd love to get a look like that on my bike

    Thanks guys,
    Clint

PS - Ive seen things like "bobbers" and such, is there a FAQ on here that I can look through? I'd like to know some of this terminology. I know how annoying online forums can be when noobs ask the same questions over and over, dont want to be like that!

You can find factory sissy bars for your bike.
    As well as aftermarket ones.
Bobbed is usually a one seater thats been hardtailed or lowered in the rear.
The first pic has been heavly modified, the second appears to be a stock 700 with a windscreen.
You can do anything with enough time and money.

http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/dictiona ... -index.htm <-- that site is pretty awesome for bike terminology. That first pic is VERY heavily modified. That re-rake on the front end would be a nightmare IMO to accomplish and not trash the handling of the bike. Although, it might just suck handling wise, but if the builder was only interested in appearance and not corner carving, who cares.
