Well, the boys showed up at the house as I was finishing up some work on the bike, and being it was "warm" for February, we took a little ride, first one for 2007. It was about 51 degrees, and pretty wet, even a little rain, but it felt pretty good. That's me and my bike on the left, my friend and his Savage 650, and the picture taker's xv500 Virago. C'mon spring!!!

    That´s the spirit 8)

Weather´s quite similar here in DK; no rides yet, though, as front wheel, brakes and forks are of for new tire, new fork seals, springs and oil, new brake lines etc. Next are exhaust and carbs, then valves..

This is the latest pic I have. More once the sun comes out. And it's clean again.

It's a Krylon Ultra-flat with a Krylon matte clear over it.

    Greetings XJers:

I've been riding a few weeks now (ever since I got my replacement engine installed and running).

I have to bundle up for the morning commute, when it's in the 40s. But the ride home is in the 70s and absolutely fabulous! (One benefit of living down here in the sweltering toilet bowl of the U.S.!)

    Take care and stay safe-
    Herb

Took my 1st ride of 07 this past Saturday (3/3). Woke up here in Southern NY to 53 degree weather and sunshine. But it was pretty windy, and after about 2 hours the storm clouds started rollin' in. But the XJ fired right up and ran smoooooooth. Got to test out the new windshield, and the MP3 player.

I started commuting on my bike again about two weeks ago when the snow started to melt here in Indiana.

I work until 10pm though most nights, so while my ride TO work is usually great, the ride home has been under 20 degrees most nights. Figures now that it's been warmer this week my bike's got some sort of mechanical demons going on and I haven't been able to ride. Totally lame.

I hear ya. I don't miss the north one bit. I grew up in Timmins and surrounding area. Needless to say, I've fulfilled any snow craving I might have. Ever.
