fj engine in an xj chassis????

    hey any one on here no if an fj1100 84/85 will fit in a 1982 xj seca 750 chassis??? i want to change out my forks and tires and wjells and brakes to all disc and chain drive. I want to run some sportbike stuff. sic thanks

    I think it'll ALMOST fit, meaning basically no.
    I thought of taking the 400 pound Seca 550 and adding the 1100 engine, but that won't work without major frame welding and stretching.
    You need to measure the 2 engines.
    You would need to do NASCAR quality tube welding for strength.
    Everything needs to be "square" and "true"
    The swingarm is all wrong.

    But you'd end up with a serious HOSS of a bike !!
    Just brush up on your German a bit and build this. . .

    yeah that 1100 pocket bike is sic!! that is a little crazier than what i want, but not to far off. I have a ninja 600 that i parted out. so i an going to change out the whole front end: forks brakes wheel etc. but then my wheels wont match and i still have a rear drum brake, i found an fj motor for cheap. i was going to try and mod my chassis to accept it and a new swingarm this winter. then i could run rear disc brakes and chain so I could change my gearing. and it would be hella fast. that is the best part

    That's one way to cut the bikes weight down a bit. :)
