FJ600 is so close,I can smell it.

    Valves in spec.
    New plugs.
    Carbs cleaned and floats set.
    New battery.

    So, I got the carbs mounted back up. Put gas to them, they don't leak all over the place any more.

    The bike started up.

    Granted, I have to hold the choke ring, it dies if it's not at maximum. A few adjustments oughta take care of that.

    Also, I have the kickstand relay unplugged, as it seems to be broken. I did get the switch to work by filling it with WD40, but the bike won't start with relay in place.

    Are you sure that it is the right relay? The sidestand relay has the same pin configuration as one of the others (can't remember which), but not the same internals.

    This edition of the 600 only has one relay that size and shape. The 550 has two.

    is there A test in your manual for the relay , there is a test for mine in the manual
    this is for a 55O
