    Hey,
Can anyone run down the spark plug gap for a 1985 FJ600? My Chilton's at home and I'm not.

    Thanks

    0.6 - 0.7 mm or 0.024 - 0.028 inch - US bikes use NGKD8EA.
25 thou as my dad would say!!

Yep, as I suspected; same as the 550s.

I'd go "25 thou" as well.

You owe us pictures of the FJ600.

If you don't show us the FJ600 I'll be forced to post a pic of MY white 550 Seca.

Did not get to take any pics of bike as it was when I purchased it. Wasn't in the garage 10 minutes before it was sans tank, seat, panels, fairings etc. I thought I saved the online ad, just not sure which computer it is on. The bike is more a parts bike with a title than a restoration candidate. Got it for $300 and I believe it had been in the warehouse for close to a decade. Still has original tires. 8O I am enjoying myself tinkering with it. Waiting for carb float gaskets and valve needles. This thing basically needs everything. I do have fire on the brain about it though, so we'll see how it goes. Just trying to get it up and running right now.

I have seen a few German spec 600's in white - like your 550 - which are very good looking!

If I do anything, it'll just be as a mechanically sound rat bike. Not interested in a ground up restoration. I have looked into using the full front fairing set up from a FZ600. I've always loved the double round headlights of the older street bikes from the late eighties. I have thought about doing the FJ in the color scheme of the '81 XJ550 Seca. That would be nice.
