Flasher relay - 650 Turbo

    I have tried to use a flasher relay and a self canceling unit from a XJ 650 on the 650 turbo, but it won't work. When i've tried - it sound like a buzzer.
    If i look around on the xjcd they should be interchangeable.
    Any ideas?
    (original flashing indicators and bulbs, so it's not anything fancy)

    OK: According to the Yamaha fiche: The Cancelling unit was used on about every Yamaha street bike from the 1977 RD400 right up until the early nineties.

    The Flasher relay on the other hand, is only interchangeable with a handful of bikes; and NOT ALL XJ650s.

    If you do have a mismatch, I would say it's the flasher not the cancelling unit.

    You may have also just latched onto a bad part. The flasher relay itself can be popped apart and cleaned/adjusted, BTW.
