My float needle has slight wear groove in it so gas will seep to the piston, do I replace just the needle or do I need to replace the seat also?

    thanks

You should be able to replace just the needle, provided it is of the exact same type. The reason being, there might be a slight difference in geometry between the different brands of needle and seat kits. So they may not all be compatible between each other.

Personally, I would save myself the aggravation of having to redo the job if they don't match, and I would just replace them as a set.
