I used the clear tube method with some calipers to get the fuel level exactly 3 mm from not the gasket surface, but the bottom of the flange on carb body. Everywhere I have read on here says 3 mm from the gasket surface. But I just looked in a pdf service manual I have and it says 1mm +-1mm from the flange I was talking about. What is correct. I have surging problems at low rpms and would like to get this adjusted right so I can keep eliminating problems. hopefully get to sync the carbs today too
