Okay, I got my Maxim out of the shed Friday, fired it up and went for the first ride of the year.

Saturday, I open the shed door, and all I can smell is gasoline. Uh-oh. Puddle of gas on the floor under it and a steady drip from the carbs.

Sunday, the little bastard starts back up just fine. I think this bike hates me. The float appears to be stuck. Again... This would be the floats I replaced at the end of the summer.

    I've had enough.
I'm sick of spending more time wrenching than riding.
I' sick of this thing nickel and diming me to death.

I'm sure it's an easy fix, but I have nowhere to tear it apart and do it at, hardly any tools and very limited free time to be screwing with it.

Other than that, there's nothing wrong with it that I know of. If you can come to Grimes, IA (by Des Moines) with $500.00 cash and get it, you're welcome to it. Otherwise, I'm gonna stick a rag in the gas tank and light it.

wish I lived closer...I've got two of those bikes and wouldn't mind another.
