i'm trying to change the seals on my forks.
i have the forks off the bike, the fork oil drained out, but i can't get the plug to depress to get at the clip (and the haynes manual is utterly useless when it comes to forks).

i can get a dealer to rip apart the forks and replace the seals for $75, but not until midweek at the earliest.

is there a trick to getting the plug to depress?

Probably just corroded, try taking a brass punch or a socket and give it a wack.
