Well i have been advised to repost this under a more specific heading. I have purchased my first bike a 1981 750r seca for 600cdn. the bike runs and looks very good just put new tires on. went to have it saftied and told the the front left side upper tube has to be replaced do to some dent's. looks like someone hit it with a hammer at some point. having a difficult time locating this part. if anyone has any suggestions it would be very helpfull.

Suggest hunting up a Used set of Forks. Not a lot of point in paying more than the Bikes worth for ..only.. 1/2 of the fork pieces. If your tubes are hammered where visible, they are unlikely to be pristine internally.
MANY yama bikes used the same if not similar (read interchangeable) fork assemblies. Yama continuies to make several models from the same basic parts.

I'd say to ping Chacal directly. He once mentioned having to buy and tear apart forks just to be able to sell (for signifcant $$$) the tiny washers used in the oil lock assemblies of the SECA forks. As such, he may have some decent used fork tubes available.
