I know this subject has been beaten like Bin Laden over his stash but... Anyone have suggestions, complaints or concerns on this diagram for forward controls?

My only complaint is that you haven't made them yet for me to buy! Seriously though they would look B.A. on an XJ.

The only change I would make would be a heel/toe operation on the shifter control.

How would you mount these controls. To the engine mounts, or engine guard/crash bars?

I would be in for two sets depending on the price.

I have been working on this for about 3 hours today.
Trust me, it is labor intensive.
This is my progress so far. Im thinking about milling holes in the brackets for a design I guess.

Yeah, Ive talked to that guy.
I love the price of it but he will not communicate the linkages and so forth that I would need.

by the looks of it you could figure it our pretty easily... Just saying that if you mocked those up in a couple hours youd have the linkages mocked up in half the time and be riding...

I'm gonna finish these. I have 10 bucks invested in the steel. I'd say another 40 bucks for so to finish them. I dont think they will look as nice as TCBrothers but, I can learn a lot from this.
My only investment is time and any tools I buy (which I consider a bonus).

Looks like a good design. My only concern/ complaint is it looks like German... I can't read the words! LOL. Anyway, I'd like to see the finished protype you come up with. Gonna start working on a set of forwards for my 82 Maxim when I get her back.

Watching to see how these turn out. I built my own set a year and a half ago. Turned out ok nad they work fine. Main thing I had to correct in my origianl design was lever length. I wear a size 12 and didn't leave enough space between the peg and the shifter lever peg to get my foot under the first time.

I found some nice caps to fill the tubes with after I trim them back.

I tried a "dry fit" to get a idea how the linkages might go on.

Of course he's not gonna tell you everything you need to make your own. He's making his own to sell, so why in the world would he tell you? Makes sense to me..........then again, I bought my set of those off of ebay from another person who didn't realize what he had and I got my set of TCBros forwards for about 40 bucks. :)

I sold the bike before I could finish the controls.
I listed the parts I have acquired on a different thread if you would like to take a look.
