Found an 83 xj1100 10,800km

    Hey found an 83 xj1100 with only 10800 km on it, stored for the last 4 years.
    steal of a deal for $2000. Anything in particular i should look for troublewise in an 83, or are they basically the same as the 82 that i now have??

    Only on the rock can you find a XJ1100 with ~10,000KM on it.

    Check the shifting on it, I've heard that XJ1100's can eat 2nd for obvious reasons :D. Don't forget to check compression at any rate!

    All the XJ1100s were made the same year,1982. It was common to have the year sold on the title. So your 1983 Xj11 was made in 1982 and sold in 1983.
    2000 sounds high for a non running bike, it all depends on how it looks.

    current owner says works fine, and has no issues, didn't know if there was a difference between years. I already asked about second gear specifically! I don't mind doing second gear, had to do my current 1100 last year. wasn't too bad of a job, just time consuming.
