Thanks for the heads-up, Cheese. Message sent, fingers crossed. That would be an amazing find for me if he still has it!

    Cheese... I could kiss you! But I won't. ;-)

Looks like I'll be picking up the bike on the weekend. It's been totally disassembled (even the motor) but is complete and comes with what he called a humungous fairing and hard cases.

Guess I know what I'm doing this summer!

Well, I'm the proud new Papa of a '83 Maxim 750 with only 22000 km on the clock! Props to the donor for not exaggerating when he described it as
"completely disassembled". Engine came in three boxes! Carbs are intact and sure look clean. Slides slide and butterflies... Butter? Whatever.

Looks to be complete though and even came with what looks like a Seca fairing and lowers and some Krauser luggage! Seat's in good shape and the tank's clean with only a little dent on the front. Wonder if air will work on that; it doesn't appear to be creased.

Anyway, no pics for now as I kinda had to sneak it into the garage without the GF catching me. I told her I was going out to "pick up a few bike parts". Of course, as I was tiptoeing past the side of the house to the garage carrying the frame she happened to come out the side door to see what I was up to. Apparently I had a bit of a deer-in-headlights expression and will be making breakfast in bed tomorrow morning. Probably next weekend too...
