Does anyone know if there is a tutorial on the front brake rebuild, with pictures, just took front brakes off and from what i can tell the "main" dust boot that goes over the piston is missing. So I was wondering if anyone knows if there are good pictures of an XJ 750 front brakes so I can tell if anyt5hing else is wrong?

    As always..... Thanks!

Not really, primarily because there are so many different Yamaha calipers.

You can take a look in the fiche for your bike: http://www.yamahapartshouse.net/pages/O ... brand=YAM#

Although the drawing leaves a lot to be desired, it does indicate what I thought:

In your case, the "dust seal" is just the first rubber ring in the caliper grooves. You don't have an external seal like a car caliper (or some of the XJ series.) You're not missing that part.
