R1 forks can also be fitted. Surprising just what fits Personally I'd be looking at a worthwhile upgrade not just from a year newer model/variant of the same old bike..

thatll take me way over budget even if it is a direct swap. forks and wheel and brakes will be under 100 shipped.

Is there a list of compatable front ends?
I'd like to modify my 400 a bit as the for tubes are a bit pitted and I can see I'm going to need to replace seals again in the spring.... and I was thinking of udated brakes as well...sooooo

As long as the forks are the same diameter and whole assembly the same length (or close) everything else should be relatively easy , right?

    <<<UPDATE>>>

so after some clever hunting on ebay, I was able to locate a ton of parts for my winter rebuild/upgrade session. my purchases were as follows:

    Item Title Qty. Price
XJ 750 Seca Transmission Tranny Trans 1 US $0.99
XJ 750 Seca Gear Shift Shafts 1 US $1.26
XJ 750 Seca Triple Clamp Tree 1 US $0.99
XJ 750 Seca Motorcycle Front Forks 1 US $51.00 XJ 750 Seca Front Brake Assembly 1 US $10.60
XJ 750 Seca Motorcycle Clutch Assembly 1 US $5.02
XJ 750 Seca Front Fork Breathers 1 US $0.99

    Subtotal: US $70.85
Shipping and handling via UPS Ground:
    US $36.81

    Total: US $107.66
    NOT BAD!

the only thing is i was out bid on the front wheel with rotors attached. it would have been nice to get it all from the same guy. it would have all fit together easy peasy i missed out on it.

so my roommate was looking at my bike and showed me that the wheel is drilled to accept another rotor to make it a dual disc setup. sure enough theres a plastic adapter that was plugging the holes.

so this raises the queston, Is it possible to just get a set of 750 rotors to bolt up to the front wheel thats on their now?
