Hello all! Well I've messed up my front end. My forks and triple tree are bent and twisted. I've got everything apart.

I've got a spare set of shocks which I hope I can just swap the upper tubes out and slide back in with some new progressive springs without having any leaks. I just did the seals about a year ago or so.

I also order a used triple tree off eBay. It says it's straight but I'll c when they get here.

My biggest fear is that I bent the fame or steering tube. It looks straight but idk. Is there a way to be sure that everything is safe. I got the shocks and triple tree for a good price so I'm not worried about those items but I don't want to spend any more $$$ until I'm sure everything is straight.

So how would one be sure nothing else is twisted????

    Thanks
    Jim.

Maxim seca ??? Pre assemble the front end off the bike no wheel needed everything should slide together very easy if it's straight. Grab a piece of glass 6x12 inch as thick as you can and it will tell you if forks are perfect.

Thanks toomanybikes I will do that. Rocs I rear ended someone. Someone trying to make a illegal turn cause the lane I was in to come to suddenly stop. Cars all around couldn't change lanes. O well. Razz. I wasn't hurt.

    Thanks for the replies.

Yes glad your ok! Future generations ok?
As far as straight , we used a gizmo that was a 6 foot rod with 2 conical sleeves that went thought neck of frame and then we could check alignment of frame
    With a laser.
