Hey all, I have seen that a lot of you have changed out the front turn signals on your xj's to aftermarket ones. I was just wondering how you changed out the front ones because they are the "clamp" on style that clamp onto the stud on the forks. I have looked for something on ebay but couldnt find any. Just wondering how everyone did it?

You change the whole stalk. The "clamping" is between the signal head and the rubber or chrome stalk; consider the whole thing an "assembly." There's a nut on the inside of where they mount.

If you stick to the type that take conventional bulbs, you won't have any flasher relay issues (although you may have to replace crappy low-wattage bulbs with real 1156's.)

Personally, I like the ones that Yamaha uses on the FJ/FZ/XJR these days; and you can get that "pattern" in aftermarket signals. Chacal has them.
